About Us

Cultivating Sustainable Livelihoods Across Gauteng

Rebafenyi Development Centre is a dedicated Agri-youth skills development NPO. In partnership with the Department of Social Development, our core mandate is to train, develop, and capacitate young people, individuals affected by Gender-Based Violence (GBV), substance abuse survivors, and vulnerable older women. We transform passion for agriculture into structured, income-generating cooperative businesses.

Our Vision

To see resilient, self-sustaining Gauteng communities driven by thriving, youth-led agribusinesses and independent agricultural cooperatives.

Our Mission

To combat poverty and high unemployment by delivering high-value, accredited agricultural training and enterprise development to vulnerable communities.

Going Beyond Expectations to Serve Communities

Originally funded to establish and run 6 core agricultural sites, Rebafenyi has significantly over-performed. Recognizing the vast need for economic relief, we formally expanded our programs across three key geographical corridors.

  • Tshwane Corridor: Expanding operations and establishing thriving farming groups in Hammanskraal, Marokolong, and Stanza Bopape.
  • Sedibeng & West Rand Corresponds: Spearheading modern agricultural projects in regions like Khutsong, Wedela, Swaneville, and Bantu Bonke.
  • Inclusive Empowerment: Actively prioritizing and allocating program intakes to recipients of the Child Support Grant, Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
